Light irradiation nanostructures can produce electromagnetic field enhancement, generate hot carriers, induce resonant energy transfer and photothermal effects. For oxygen evolution reaction from water splitting, the photothermal effect can serve to promote electrocatalytic activity and also adjust the reaction pathway, thus improving performance.</p> ER -
