Senior High School (SHS) comprises Grades 11 to 12 which are designed to equip learners with the necessary knowledge in pursuing college and/ or skills needed in finding a job. The study aimed at determining the status and condition of ABMHS, Tipanoy, Iligan City, Philippines with regards to their preparation for the implementation of SHS in 2016 and in providing awareness to different stakeholders about the qualifications and teachers’ competencies, laboratory facilities, community resources, and the skill-preferences of the in-coming Grade 11. The descriptive-qualitative-quantitative research design was employed using interviews and questionnaires to collect data on how the school has prepared for the implementation of SHS.

The findings revealed that the in-coming Grade 11 learners/students have preferred most on the Technical-Vocational Livelihood Track in Cookery which is one of the skills/specialization the school is planning to offer in 2016. Beauty and Nail Care/Food and Beverage Servicing are not of the interest of the in-coming SHS learners. It was concluded that ABMHS can implement SHS classes in 2016 based on the response of the students and from the opinion of some teachers during interviews.
It is recommended that ABMHS should have a better linkage with all the prospective stakeholders to plan with the SHS program implementation in 2016.
